Palacio Vistalegre Arena stands in the Vista Alegre neighbourhood of Carabanchel, in the south-west of Madrid — and that location decides your budget before anything else. The airport's well-known €33 flat taxi fare covers only destinations inside the M-30 ring, and Carabanchel sits outside it, so a taxi from Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas (MAD) runs on the meter. Two shows in late 2026 bring people who fly in for them: Evanescence on Friday 2 October and Tokio Hotel on 23 November, the band's only Spanish date. Where is the arena?

The complex is at Calle Utebo 1, 28025 Madrid; the Arena entrance is signed from Matilde Hernández. The closest Metro stop is Vista Alegre on Line 5, about a five-minute walk away, with Oporto (Lines 5 and 6) and Carabanchel (Line 5) also within reach. City buses 34, 35 and 55 serve the area by day, and night buses N16, N17 and N26 take over once the Metro closes. Drivers get a paid car park with roughly a thousand spaces. The airport is in the north-east and the arena in the south-west, so every route crosses the whole city — plan for time, not distance.

Taxi and private transfer: what it actually costs

Because the arena lies outside the M-30, the €33 fixed fare does not apply and the meter does, with the airport supplement added on top. Madrid taxi-trade estimates put Carabanchel at roughly €35 for the lower part of the district and about €40 for the upper part; Vista Alegre sits between the two, so budget in the region of €35 to €45, and more if you land in rush hour. A pre-booked private transfer is the other door-to-door option: the price is agreed in advance, which removes the guesswork on a cross-city run, and a driver meets you in arrivals. By Metro

The cheapest route is the Metro, but it is not direct. Take Line 8 from either terminal station to Nuevos Ministerios, where the line ends, change to the circular Line 6 and ride to Oporto, then take Line 5 one stop to Vista Alegre. If you would rather not change twice, Oporto itself is a walk of roughly ten to twelve minutes from the arena. Allow about 55 to 70 minutes door to door, plus the walk at the end. A single ticket plus the compulsory airport supplement comes to roughly €4.50 to €5 — a fraction of the taxi, at the cost of time and stairs.

The two 2026 shows

Evanescence play the Arena on Friday 2 October 2026, with Poppy and Nova Twins as guests; the venue lists the show as sold out. Tokio Hotel follow on 23 November 2026 — their only concert in Spain on the How to Love tour, and their largest Madrid show so far. Start times for both were still listed as "to be confirmed" by the venue when this page was written, so check the official listing before you fix your arrival: on a sold-out arena night the difference between comfortable and frantic is about thirty minutes.

Getting back after the show

An arena show finishing around 23:00 empties thousands of people into a residential district at once. The Metro runs until about 01:30, so Lines 5 and 6 cover most finishes, though expect queues at Vista Alegre and Oporto. After that the night buses — N16, N17 and N26 — are the way back into the centre. A taxi or a transfer booked for a set time avoids the crush altogether, and on a sold-out night that is worth arranging before you leave for the show rather than after it.
